In Thuringia, we are surrounded by a beautiful landscape that is not only an ideal home for us, but also for our bees. We want to protect our homeland, preserve its diverse flora and do our part to maintain the ecosystem.
Our bee sponsorship with THÜHON
As part of our commitment to the environment, we took on a bee sponsorship with the Thuringian beekeeping company THÜHON in 2024. With this initiative, we are actively promoting biodiversity, supporting the ecosystem and making a valuable contribution to the protection of honey bees. Our bee colonies are busy around our company site in Ohrdruf and not only provide delicious honey, but also pollinate numerous native plants.
Why bee protection is so important
Bees play an indispensable role in our ecosystem. They ensure the pollination of wild plants and crops and therefore make a significant contribution to the preservation of biodiversity. With our sponsorship, we help to ensure the continued existence of these valuable insects and promote the species-rich flora and fauna in our region.
Thuringian honey from Ohrdruf
Our bees benefit from the diverse flora in Thuringia, which provides them with plenty of food. This results in a high-quality, natural honey with an unique taste and a special color – depending on which flowers the bees have visited. Our honey is harvested by hand and processed directly on site to preserve its freshness and nutrients as much as possible. A genuine natural product with character!
