Finally after two years, the first in-person trade fair for the furniture supplier industry took place again. Around 540 exhibitors from 29 countries and over 7200 visiting companies from 97 countries took part in SICAM 2021 from October 12th to 15th. After a long time, the fair enabled our company to to present our edges to the world and conduct personal conver­sations with existing customers and pros­pective clients.
The new booth position gave us the oppor­tunity to provide a larger exhi­bition area with a new, attractive presen­tation concept. This included our gallery-style hangings, which formed a coherent unit of modern, virtual living scenes and the exhibits of our edge banding on the panels. For the first time we presented our sealing agent STOPGAP.

OUR DIGITAL PRINT IS STRIKING

Two impressive wood decors, showed the high quality of our digital printing edge banding and what possi­bi­li­ties this printing technology offers. We were able to demonstrate our high production quality to our customers and highlight the advantages of digital printing in personal con­ver­sa­tions.

Our ALPHA-TAPE ZERO® forms in combination with our STOPGAP sealing agent a convin­cing overall solution.

With these products, the dis­ad­van­ta­ges of conven­tional hot-melt adhesive processing can be completely eliminated. The zero edge banding impresses with the best possible gluing and a seamless transition to the board. The hydro­phobic sealing with STOPGAP enables effective and permanent protection against moisture, dirt and other deposits. In order to make the effec­tive­ness clear to the visitors, we carried out a convincing swelling test in the water bath at the trade fair.

The decor paper printer from Thansau in Bavaria is the leading decor printer on the market. For many years we have been producing matching edge banding for the exciting decors from Schattdecor. This year, the Flagstaff Oak in particular thrilled the industry and we are proud to present two expressive edges for it as well as for many new popular designs. For the unique Canyon Big Leaf Maple and Fancy Steel designs, we realized perfectly matched edges with the help of digital printing.

In addition to the warm color of the top seller Artisan Oak, we also showed an elegant, light variant.

We are happy about our new design alliance partner, Continental. The company invested inten­sively in the market entry of PET films this year. The specialist for matt surfaces has developed an innovative plain color series for which we proudly offer our perfect edges in Excellent Matt. Both products convince with identical surface properties such as soft touch and anti-finger­print as well as scratch, chemical and light re­sis­tance.
