MKT at INTERZUM 2025: Innovation, sustainability and strong impulses for the future
Interzum 2025 not only satisfied our expectations, but exceeded them once again. After the previous record year 2023, we were able to welcome even more trade visitors to our booth this year. Especially pleasing: the atmosphere was significantly more optimistic than in previous years. The focus was finally back on future topics – new projects, product developments and long-term collaborations – instead of bottlenecks, price pressure or crisis management.
At the MKT booth, we presented the entire range of our ALPHA-TAPE® product solutions with a particular focus on demanding technical applications – from special formulations for edging honeycomb panels to innovative thick edgebanding solutions for tight radii without stress whitening to flame-retardant edgebands without heavy metals. The response: entirely positive. This confirms that we are on the right track – consistently focusing on quality, innovation and customer orientation.
With 1,616 exhibitors from 57 countries (2023: 1,600) and around 60,000 trade visitors from 157 nations (2023: 62,000), 77% of whom came from abroad, Interzum 2025 once again underlined its role as the leading global trade fair for furniture production and interior design – and was once again an ideal stage for MKT to showcase technological expertise, design quality and sustainable solutions again.

Sustainability was one of the big topics at Interzum and for us at MKT it is more than just a trend: it is part of our responsibility.
With ALPHA-TAPE® PP REC and ALPHA-TAPE® WPC, we have developed edgebanding solutions that show what real sustainability can look like today. They consist largely of certified PCR material – completely without mass balancing.
Our customers and partners have welcomed this innovation with great interest. And we are proud to be able to offer a product that is not only functional, but also environmentally friendly. For us, this is a clear statement: sustainability is not an add-on, it's our standard for the future.

ALPHA-TAPE® DESIGN ALLIANCE - Because perfection counts and time is precious
A central part of our trade fair presentation was the design alliance with all leading decor paper manufacturers – including Schattdecor, Interprint, Lamigraf, Impress and DDL as well as the surface manufacturer FineDecor. Thanks to these long-standing collaborations, our edgebanding solutions are perfectly matched to the latest designs, available at short notice and are customized in terms of color and structure.
ALPHA-TAPE® at partner booths
The effect of our ALPHA-TAPE® edgebanding was not only visible at the MKT booth. Our edgebands were present on many partner booths and impressed with their high-quality design. A real benefit for our customers, who don't waste time searching for suitable edgebands, because they can rely on an immediately available solution.
Unilin Master Oak Collection
For the new Master Oak collection, we were able to supply the exclusive original edgebands. Perfectly matched in terms of color, print structure and metamerism, our soft matt edgebanding optimally complements this high-quality product. The result: an Interzum Award for Unilin – and a lot of praise from customers for the quality of our edges.
The new Swiss Krono sensesation collection
We presented the matching edges for the new “sensesation” product line for the first time. This collection, which won the German Design Award 2025, combines innovative Synchro-Wood-Technology with an outstanding look and feel. Also in this case, our edgebands impress with a newly developed and particularly natural-looking embossing as well as our soft matt refinement - for a harmonious unity of board and edgeband.

Our summary: Interzum 2025 was a milestone
Four trade fair days full of positive impulses, inspiring discussions and new partnerships. Interzum 2025 was a real milestone for MKT. The industry is once again actively looking for innovation and high-quality solutions – and we offer the answers. With our topics, from technical expertise and truly sustainable solutions to partnership-based alliances, we hit the right tone.
