COMPANY FOUNDER MATHIAS ESCHBACH DECEASED
We are deeply saddened to announce that our company founder and long-time Managing Director Mathias Eschbach passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 90.
Together with his brother, he founded MKT Moderne Kunststoff-Technik Gebrüder Eschbach GmbH in 1991 with its main plant and headquarters in Ohrdruf, Thuringia. For many years, he played a key role in shaping the company’s progress. After the initial production of facade cladding, the founder’s focus quickly shifted to the manufacture and sale of plastic profiles. The production process used here was largely due to Mathias Eschbach’s technical development work and expertise. He built up the company with a great deal of passion and commitment and led it to success through his technical expertise, determination and perseverance.
Together with his long-time companion and managing partner Antonius Kroner, he developed MKT into a leading company in the furniture supply industry and played a key role in shaping Ohrdruf as a business location. He laid the foundation for what MKT is today: an internationally active company and specialist in the production of thermoplastic edgebands. He was highly valued by all employees and business partners for his expertise and approachable manner. We cannot praise his achievements for MKT, his determination and his vision highly enough. His mark will remain forever – both in business and personal terms.
Our deepest sympathy goes to his partner Siegrun Zink, his children Elke Gornik, Ute Eschbach-Krüger and Peter Eschbach as well as all his relatives in these difficult hours.
